The Masham Sheep Fair is just over a week away, and i have entered both shearling tups into the judging there. With Swaledales, that means making them look smart by plucking out any white hairs in the black part of their face.
Enter the yoke gate and a pair of tweezers and plenty of hard work. I think it is fair to say that neither of them were very impressed at this process:
I also need to civilise them somewhat! They have spent all summer running free in the tup paddock, and i always wish i had spent more time getting them used to me so they attack me less…
Still, they are a good looking couple of tups, and hopefully they will do well at the show and the Tup sale in October!
